September has arrived, and with it the last quarter of the year! From keeping our team’s skills sharp, to helping you plan ahead of the year-end rush, to prepping your smile for the season ahead — here’s what’s happening at the practice this month.
🩺 Safety First: Our Team’s First Aid Refresher
The team recently spent the day completing our First Aid Course refresher with Cynergex Group, brushing up on everything from emergency response to on-the-spot care. It’s a session we take seriously — dental visits are usually routine, but we believe in being properly prepared for the unexpected, so you can relax knowing the whole team is equipped to look after you no matter what.
Beyond the practical skills, it was also a great day for the team to learn together and reconnect outside the usual day-to-day. Take a look at us in action!
📅 A Little Planning Now Saves a Rush Later
We know it feels early to be thinking about Christmas, but appointment diaries have a way of filling up faster than expected once end-of-year events, school holidays and the festive break roll around. Getting your routine check-up and clean sorted now — while there’s still plenty of room in the diary — means one less thing to squeeze in during the busy final weeks of the year.
It’s also worth thinking about your health fund benefits. If you’ve still got cover left for the year, now’s a great time to use it for a check-up or clean, or to get started on treatment like whitening, Invisalign or veneers. Starting before December means that if your treatment carries over, you’ll be perfectly placed to pick up where you left off with a fresh year of benefits come January.
A few of our dentists are also taking well-earned leave over the coming weeks, so availability will be tighter than usual: Dr Yvonne Monte is away from 16th September to 15th October, and Dr Emma Robertson from 21st September to 14th October.
The good news is Dr Julien is back in the chair after an amazing trip to Africa, and ready to help you get sorted early. Dr Gisele will also be taking leave in November, so getting in now gives you the best pick of appointment times before things fill up.
