Abbi, Oral Health Therapist
Helping You Feel Calm, Cared For, and Comfortable
Warm, welcoming, and full of heart, Abbi Mulholland brings a deeply personal approach to oral health care. As an Oral Health Therapist at Wellness Dental Bronte, she makes each visit comfortable, especially for those who feel a bit uneasy.
Abbi was anxious about going to the dentist as a child, but she always had positive experiences. She wanted to help others feel that same sense of comfort, and today, that’s precisely what she does. From the moment you meet her, you’ll feel a sense of calm and kindness that helps make dental visits more enjoyable.
A Focus on Kids & Preventive Care
Graduating from La Trobe University in Bendigo, Abbi completed her training with a strong foundation in both technical care and patient connection. Her qualifications include a mental health first aid certification, and her scope of practice extends to adult care, something she takes great pride in.
Abbi is passionate about helping patients — especially children — understand how oral health impacts more than just their teeth. With a special interest in children’s dentistry and preventive care, she takes the time to make young patients (and their parents) feel at ease while building healthy habits for life. Abbi believes there’s still so much for people to learn about the vital link between oral health and overall wellbeing.
At every check-up, she focuses on educating, encouraging, and supporting families in a clear, approachable way.
More Than Just Dentistry
When she’s not in the practice, Abbi enjoys scenic walks, exploring new places, reading, and Pilates. Originally from the northwest of Tasmania, she brings a grounded, thoughtful energy to her work – and a strong love for good coffee.
Whether you’re visiting for a routine clean or a bit of advice, Abbi’s here to make the experience feel human, helpful, and a little more relaxing.
Francisca, Front Office Coordinator
Fran was inspired to have a career in the dental field, as she enjoys meeting patients, getting to know them, and helping them with their dental needs.
In 2008, Fran graduated from university in Chile with a degree in Business and Administration. She also possesses a Certificate III and IV in Marketing. Her experience includes five years in marketing in Chile, and five years in dental reception in Australia.
For Fran, the most rewarding aspect of her job is seeing patients’ smiles transform through orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.
When she isn’t working, Fran loves to spend time with friends and family, go for walks, and play beach volleyball. She’s also a massive foodie and enjoys new cafes and restaurants.
Andrea, Dental Assistant
Andrea loves being a part of our team, and we feel the same way. She finds her profession extremely rewarding, and has always had a passion for caring for others. One of her favourite parts about working with patients is seeing their smile transform, while helping to build trust and ease their anxieties.
Andrea obtained her Certificate III in Dental Assisting from TAFE NSW, graduating in 2012.
When she isn’t in the practice helping others, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, or relaxing with a movie and popcorn. She also dabbles in making candles—ask her about her other hobbies when you visit us for an appointment.
Mel, Clinical Coordinator
Mel loves helping patients of all walks of life have a positive experience in our practice. She holds a Dental Assistant Certificate III and IV from TAFE NSW, graduating in 1993.
Mel also obtained certifications in first aid, practice management, medical terminology, sterilisation, and implants.
One of Mel’s favourite parts about being a dental assistant is knowing that her actions and education with patients lead to a happier and healthier outcome for them.
Outside of the practice, Mel loves playing with her dog, Rita, and running marathons. You can also find her dancing, playing hockey, or watching comedy shows and true stories. Get to know more about her when you visit us for your next appointment.
