A Friendly April Check-in 👋
As Easter and the school holidays approach, we’re sharing a few timely reminders to help keep your smile on track this April.
This month, we’re also shining a light on Abbi, our wonderful Oral Health Therapist, whose calm, gentle approach has made her such a valued part of the team — especially for children and families.
We’ve also included our Easter and ANZAC Day closure dates below so you can plan ahead if you’re due for a visit.
🍋 Is Lemon Water Actually Good for Your Teeth?

Lemon water is often promoted as a healthy daily habit — and in some ways, it can be. It may encourage better hydration, support digestion, and feel like a fresher alternative to sugary drinks.
But from a dentist’s perspective, there’s one important thing to keep in mind: lemons are highly acidic.
When acidic drinks are consumed regularly, they can gradually wear away tooth enamel — the protective outer layer of your teeth. Once enamel is lost, it doesn’t grow back. Over time, this can lead to increased tooth sensitivity, discolouration, and a greater risk of damage.
That doesn’t mean you need to avoid lemon water altogether. It just means being a little mindful in how you drink it.
A few tooth-friendly tips:
- Drink it with meals rather than sipping all day
- Use a straw where possible
- Rinse with plain water afterwards
- Wait at least 30 minutes before brushing
If you love starting your day with lemon water, a few small habits can help protect your smile while still enjoying the ritual.
👉 If you’ve noticed sensitivity or enamel wear, why not book a check-up so we can take a look.
🦷 School Holidays Are Almost Here — Time to Book the Kids In
With the school holidays approaching (and Easter chocolate not far behind), now is a great time to get the kids booked in for a check-up and clean.
School holiday appointments are often one of the easiest times to stay on top of your child’s dental care — no rushing before school, no missed classroom time, and a chance to catch anything early before it turns into a bigger issue.
At Wellness Dental Bronte, we know that a positive experience at the dentist can make all the difference for children. That’s one of the reasons families love seeing Abbi, our Oral Health Therapist.
Abbi has a special interest in children’s dentistry and preventive care, and she brings such a calm, caring energy to every appointment. She takes the time to help kids feel safe and comfortable, while also supporting parents with practical advice around brushing, diet, and healthy habits at home.
Whether it’s a routine check-up, a first visit, or simply time for a little post-Easter reset, we’d love to help keep your child’s smile on track.
👉 School holiday appointments can fill quickly, so we recommend booking ahead.
📅 Holiday Closure Reminder
